New Delhi: The Embassy of the Palestine in India, expressing dismay over the silence of the international community on renewed Israeli assault on Gaza, has called upon them to take a “firm stand” in upholding international law and “hold Israel accountable for its criminal acts.”
In a press statement, the Palestine Embassy accused the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ruling coalition of “working relentlessly to divert attention from their deepening internal crises and widespread corruption scandals by targeting the Palestinian people, who are paying with their lives as a result of these diversionary tactics.”
It said fresh Israeli airstrikes had so far claimed the lives of over 430 Palestinians, the vast majority of whom are women and children. “Additionally, dozens remain missing, hundreds have been injured, and thousands have been displaced. To date, 48,572 Palestinians have been martyred, 112,032 injured, and another 12,000 remain missing.”
It said the “continued silence of the international community is not only a disgraceful failure but also a de facto endorsement of Israel’s heinous genocidal acts. It grants Israel a blank check to proceed with its blatant and openly declared efforts to displace and eradicate the Palestinian people entirely. Even within Israel, it is widely recognized that this war also serves to shield the Prime Minister and his cabinet from political downfall.”

After the Israeli cabinet's refusal to implement the agreed-upon second phase of the ceasefire, the Israeli Occupation Forces, across its various military divisions, have resumed their assault on Gaza. Guided by Israel’s stated policies—endorsed by the U.S. administration—which promote the displacement of Palestinians and their relocation abroad, the renewed offensive aims to accelerate Gaza’s devastation. The strategy seeks to make Gaza uninhabitable, which will force Palestinians to leave due to the collapse of basic living conditions.
Israel resumed its war on Gaza to counter and undermine to the recent Arab Summit’s 'Early Recovery, Reconstruction, and Development of Gaza' plan and the Palestinian 'Gaza Relief and Early Recovery Plan.' Widely supported by the international community, these initiatives were seen as a pathway to ending the war, rebuilding Gaza, and advancing a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian question.
The Israeli Prime Minister and his ruling coalition are working relentlessly to divert attention from their deepening internal crises and widespread corruption scandals by targeting the Palestinian people, who are paying with their lives as a result of these diversionary tactics. The Israeli political ruling party survival is far outweighing any other issues including the hostages lives.
As of day, Israeli airstrikes have claimed the lives of over 430 Palestinians, the vast majority of whom are women and children. Additionally, dozens remain missing, hundreds have been injured, and thousands have been displaced. To date, 48,572 Palestinians have been martyred, 112,032 injured, and another 12,000 remain missing.
The crucial question everyone should ask is: What can Israel achieve now that it failed to accomplish in 15 months of relentless warfare? The only outcome is more Palestinian suffering, endless mourning, mass graves, and the continued destruction of Gaza. In the end, it amounts to nothing more than a tragic zero-sum game."
The continued silence of the international community is not only a disgraceful failure but also a de facto endorsement of Israel’s heinous genocidal acts. It grants Israel a blank check to proceed with its blatant and openly declared efforts to displace and eradicate the Palestinian people entirely. Even within Israel, it is widely recognized that this war also serves to shield the Prime Minister and his cabinet from political downfall.
Embassy of the State of Palestine- India call on the international community to take a firm stand in upholding international law and holding Israel accountable for its criminal acts, silence is complicity.
Life must prevail. Liberty must prevail. Peace must prevail.
